The Hive was buzzing on April 22 for the first ever MuscleBall Fundraiser Tournament. Perham High School Student Council hosted the event to raise money for Ukraine.
After fierce competition that featured teams representing the ninth graders, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and a team of staff members, the Juniors came away with the MuscleBall Trophy. The Juniors were presented the trophy that was created by Jacket Manufacturing for the event.
Perham High School Student Council Advisor Kelsey Karlen reported the fundraiser made more than 4,000 dollars. Overall, the Student Council has raised $5,743.35 with the proceeds going to medair.org. Medair employs experts in health and nutrition; shelter and infrastructure; water, sanitation and hygiene. The group provides cash assistance that enables families to meet their basic needs quickly during a crisis.
