Perham Sportsman’s Club will be hosting Minnesota Firearms Safety Training for students 11 and older. It will be taught by Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Volunteer staff.
The class is to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms. It includes live fire on a rifle range.
Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a temporary certificate. This certificate will allow the bearer to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota and other states where certification is required.
Perham’s range time will happen on the second day of class. A fee to the MN DNR is payable upon completion of the class. A nominal fee is payable at Perham class to include lunches and ammunition. Please do not bring guns to class. A scheduled back-up date should one of the March classes be canceled has been scheduled for April 2. Limit to the class is to 30 participants.
