IMPORTANT INFORMATION for Perham High School Families:
Here is a link to a video from Principal Zimmerman. We strongly encourage students and parents/guardians to frequently and thoroughly read through all emails, all upcoming important information will be sent using that avenue. Students, please make sure you are sharing this information with your family! As we have learned through this whole experience, details and events are changing DAILY so please make sure to take the time to read anything that is sent your direction. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
This is a copy of the email sent to students today:
PHS Students – I hope this message finds you all doing well. Our team at PHS wants to thank you for your work and continued efforts. We understand and respect how challenging Distance Learning can be, but we ask that you keep focused and finish each of your classes on a very positive note. Below I have shared a video just checking in and a message of encouragement as well as paying close attention to note coming for year end items.
Just a reminder that you will have NO NEW ASSIGNMENTS on Friday May 1 and Monday May 4 as these are professional development/planning days for our PHS staff for the remainder of the school year.
STUDENTS, we will be putting out information for year end checklist items that we will need from each of you. Seniors we have several more announcements that will be coming to you separately as we prepare for the Scholarship Program recognition, Academic and Athletic Award Recognition, and Graduation Plans. Please note that we would like to have Graduation outdoors on the front lawn of HS, but we have to wait and see what will come of the Governor’s Plan for the State of Minnesota for after May 4 which we hope allows for larger gatherings. We understand that social distancing will more than likely remain in effect, but are hoping that the restrictions are lifted to be able to have our graduates and parent/guardians present. Again, more to come when we know more.
IMPORTANT: Students we will be sharing information via, letters home, email, social media, and school website. It is CRITICAL that you share and point your Parent/Guardians to this information so we are all in communication together.
We ask that everyone puts their best foot forward, put in the time, and you will never regret sticking to the grind with Distance Learning as the rewards will come down the road as you will not have any incomplete academic work following you. Finish strong and don’t say to yourself, I wish I would have.
Take care and much more to come with year end information as our staff plans for a success completion with the 2019-2020 school year.
