Coronavirus Update:
At the school we recognize the coronavirus that is the top news story each night is on everyone’s mind. Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) are taking the lead on this in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control (CDC). They continuously monitor local and national health concerns and have access to more relevant and timely information than our individual school district.
Currently, Perham Public School is in a prevention stage of managing for a potential outbreak of the coronavirus and have standards in place. Our leadership team at the school continues to prepare should a districtwide response be needed. Please be assured that we will follow any recommendation provided by MDH and MDE concerning the coronavirus.
It is important to mention that the most influential things you can do to protect yourself and your family from any contagious condition are the same preventive practices that we promote during our cold and flu season:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 second
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue, or cough into your elbow
- Stay home when sick
- Keep children at home when they are sick
As a school district, we will provide an update as needed.
